COLOMBO: After Champions Trophy now it is the turn
for the team of Campus cricket. Jinnaha
Government College of Karachi (Pakistan) crushed Marathwada Mitra Mandal
College of Commerce, Pune (India) severely on the entire four fronts.
Loss of India by Pakistan is the remembrance of emphatic win by National team of Pakistan in
Champions Trophy at England which boost the morale of Pakistanis. I can remember the twenty years without any
loss by Pakistanis from India. The which
started somewhere in the 1993.
Thanks to Hasan Mohsin well established bowling
spell with 4 for 21 in just 3.1 over sent India’s MMMC College Poona hurtling
to their eventual score of just 81 on board.
Entire Indian Team collapsed in front of Hurricane of Hasan in just 17th
over, none of the player could stand stiff to defend and reply the bullets of Hasan. Thanks
to the God who showers some mercy on little guys and Pakistanis dropped two
catches unless situation would be even more miserable for Indians.
Such a low target is not a big task to achieve for
the Jinnaha Government College Karachi (Pakistan) top order. Pakistanis achieved the target in 15 overs
only most of the players sauntered and collected the runs. Opener Mohammed Azad is the top scorer for
Pakistan who scored 38 runs and consumed just 51 balls and he remains unbeaten
upto the end.
Eight teams are participating in the World Finals
includes Business Managment School (BMS Sri Lanka), University of Sydney
(Australia), University of Liberal Arts (ULA Bangladesh), National University
of Science & Technology (NUST Zimbabwe), Marathwada Mitra Mandal College of
Commerce Poona (MMMCC India), Jinnaha
Government College Nazimabad, Karachi (Pakistan), North West University (NWU
South Africa) and Herriot Watt University Dubai (UAE).
Red Bull Campus Cricket is arranging the cricket tournament
every year with an intention to inspire the young talent to play cricket and provides
them easy passage towards world class and professional cricket. This organisation is arranging annual
international T20 matches tournament for college cricket teams. The competition was launched in 2012 and it
is now sixth year is in progress without interruption.
