On false
allegations that they spread covid 19, 7 Muslims were attacked in
Karnataka, while they were distributing essential commodities. In
similar incidences, in UP also at several places Muslims were
thrashed, putting false blame on Muslims that they have secret mission of
spreading corona virus. Similar tendencies are being developed in
amongst Hindu community in almost every place of India. Whats App messages
are brimmed with hatred and poison spewing clippings against
Muslims. Almost all clippings which were circulated not only
in whatsApp groups but also by TV News Media, were pertaining to any other
incidents which alleged happened long ago, giving false colour of recent incidence
of Muslims. In Utter Pradesh Jamatees were quarantined and were alleged
to have behave indecently with Nurses, as well as raising unreasonable demands
of seeking beedees, cigarette, non veg. However, Saharanpur Police
in its inquiry submitted report falsifying all such allegations.
The incidences are
sequel to News Media (ABP, News18, Aaj Tak, Zee News ) fake news, giving
unreasonable coverage to the incident of Nizamuddin Markaz Ijtema, giving
it communal colour and using objectionable words such as “CORONA JEEHAD”
“CORONA TERRORISM’ AND “ISLAMIC INSURRECTION” with impunity, without any
restrictions and restrain.
However, anyone had
anytime ever tried to decipher the meaning of word Iztema or Ishtema or
Ijtema. The work ijtema means congregation of people. The Tablighi
Jamaat 150 year old history of such Ijtema in India as well as other part of
world, and had never done such ijtema without Govt permission. In the
incident in limelight means Nizamuddin Markaz Ijtema, they said Tablighi Jamaat
had approached Mumbai Police, govt other local body, for permission of such
congregation, however, when it was refused, they sought permission from Delhi
Police, which obviously comes under Home Ministry (Shri Amit Shah), and
permission was granted to such congregation by Delhi Police for 12.3.20 to
15.3.20.
Whatever may be the
reason, the question is very simple if the News Media has such powers to
propagate the fake news for any particular incident and against a particular
community and that too with impunity without any fear of law of land. In
India TV news Media is being controlled by Regulations issued by Ministry of
Information and Broadcasting which is responsible for administration of
Channels. If such things are happening means no existing laws are
sufficient to control and regulate electronic media.
Hon’ble Supreme Court of
India time and again and lately in recent judgement of Tehseen Poonawala and
Kodungallur Film Society, deprecated in strong words such practice of spreading
fake news and issued following directions
“State Govt. shall
designate a senior police officer below the rank of superintendent of Police as
nodal officer in each dist. They should constitute a special task force
so as to procure intelligence report about the people who are likely to commit
such crimes or who are involved in spreading hate speeches, provocative
statement and fake news”
Despite such
directions no control have been found upon these crooked News Media reporters
as well as anchors; hence it high time to raise voice to seek cancellation of
those News Channels’ licenses and stop advertisements to them. They are
contemnor of order and direction of Supreme Court of India. Such practice
of contempt and violation of regulations by these crooked media persons, are
required to be spread around the world, so such media persons’ aid stops from
any country.
Why they are left
free hands.
