Don’t study its festival times.

Festivals era started in India, 17th September Ganpati comes, all the Mandals decorated with colour articles and lighting.  Every mandals played Sound with full volumes.   While doing so they totally ignored and forget the sound pollution and students those who are in 10th or 12thstandards how high volume sounds will disturbed their study.  They cannot concentrate for their studies because of high volume sound and while going for vitsurjan high volume of drum beating. This phenomenon will continue till the end of Ganpati that is almost for 11 days. For students of all section their semester exams will start most probably in the month of October.    After Ganpati there would be Durga Uttsav which will continue upto 10 days.  That is upto 20 days there would be disturbance in the study, immediately after Durga Uttsav Semester exams of the students will start and before Diwali all exams of the students will over.

Hardliners who have intolerance, social organizations raised their voice against noise pollution to ban loudspeakers on the mosques.  Due to their efforts loudspeakers banned on mosques to call Muslims for prayer. However, once any rule framed by Hon’ble High Court, it is duty of every citizen to obey the rulings.  The contention of the anti noise pollution organisations was that the peace of the area gets disturb due to Aazaan the 5 times call for prayers to the Muslims.  Aazan period is max upto 5 or 8 minutes, but it is banned similarly every citizen should celebrate festivals with minimum noise.  In city like Mumbai, where noise pollution already  above its decibel limit, every citizen irrespective their cast, creed and religion should be sensible towards noise.  Though the sound box played almost entire day upto 11 days, sound of firecrackers during vitsurjens makes the environment dirty and polluted, still it is not deliberated seriously.

I being the student aggrieved with the sounds of festivals and I could not score high in my Ist semester exams of Journalism and Mass communication held in the year 2013.  I had taken admission in the month of June 2013 and my first semester started in the month of October 2013. I could not study between June to September because of my busy schedule and working, thinking that I will do study at the eleventh hours, but due to noise of festivels as Ganpati and Durga Uttsav and high volume and loudspeaker I could not study and score low in my first semester.  Some mischief monger bang in high volume whenever I tried to study. At the age of 40+ of author and totally matured man if his study gets affected then how it is possible that a student of teenage 14 to 18 years will not gets affect his study due to sound and high volume.

It is request with all the Mandals and societies to celebrate the festivals fervently with least volume to give least trouble to others specially the students.  These young students are the future of the county, but the such noise may divert the path of students.  No religion giving teaching to disturbed the peace of others. Celebrate the festival with positive will and maintained the passion and zeal alive.
