21st century have big challenges for the country and across the
Globe, some outstanding
challenges like Terrorism, Jihadism, inflation, rise in population, recession
and pollution. We as a citizens of the country are
less concerned towards pollution but concerned over the terrorist activities. Like terror or Jihadis, pollution is
also one of the big challenge across the globe, have little concerned and cause
of worry for the citizens.
Let us discuss in detail about the
pollution.......
What is pollution:
Pollution is the constant process of introduction
of waste materials into the natural environment that cause adverse change. Any
act of commission or omission by us which cause environment dirty is the Pollution. We as a citizens doing many act due to
negligence or lack of proper knowledge cause the environment dirty are come in
the category of pollution. Following categories
of the pollution
Water Pollution
Air pollution (Noise)
Land pollution
Light pollution.
Water pollution is the major global
problem increased due to industrial waste. Mercantile cities like Madrass,
Bombay, Delhi, Calcutta in India are the big worry for the industries waste
which releases by the Industries. Near
Kalyan the Ulhas river become the dirty water river due heavy industries waste
released by the industries in Murbad and nearby areas. Situation become worsened day by day
ultimately Maharashtra Pollution Control Board Regional Office Kalyan issued a
work order signed by Regional Officer Mr. B.P. Solunke in its work order number
MPCB/ROK/TB-140217F70191 of dated 17/02/2014 in which clear line of action and
instruction given to the JD (WPC) MPC Board Mumbai industrial waste for large
scale industries and small scale industries and its control. The National Green Tribunal
(NGT) on 2 July 2015, ordered CPCB to ensure that Maharashtra Pollution Control
Board (MPCB) takes stringent action against polluting industries along Ulhas
river and also asked Dombivili CETP, Ambernath CETP , Ulhasnagar Municipal
Corporation and Dombivali Corporation to deposit 70 crores with the Konkan
District Commissioner for restoration and restitution measures. Read full text
of this judgement by National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the
matter of Vanashakti Public Trust & Others Vs Maharashtra Pollution Control
Board & Others dated 02/07/2015 regarding severe environmental and
ecological damage due to illegal discharge of dangerous untreated effluents,
sewage and pollutants in violation of environmental Laws in particular, Ulhas
River in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Another reason for the water
pollution is increased by waste which we throw in the water due to that water
contaminated and cause the water pollution.
India is the country of several religion and religion faiths gives heavy
penalty to India as far as pollution is concerned. During the festivals of Ganesh,
Durga idols are immerge in the river or sea. Due to paint and non eco friendly
idols cause big worry for the water pollution.
In the cities like Delhi, Varanasi, Mumbai and all the big cities,
animal wastes are the big cause of worry which cause rivers, lacks and sea
contaminated. Lather industries in the cities
like Kanpur, Agra, Varanasi makes the River Ganga like a pond of dirty water. Toxic pollution affects more than 200 million
people.
It has been suggested that water
pollution is the leading worldwide cause of deaths and diseases, and that it
accounts for the deaths of more than 14,000 people daily. An estimated 580
people in India die of water pollution related illness every day., and as of
2007, half a billion Chinese had no access to safe drinking water. In addition
to the acute problems of water pollution in, also continue to struggle with
pollution problems. For example, in the most recent national report on in the
United States, 45 percent of assessed stream miles, 47% of assessed lake acres,
and 32 percent of assessed and square miles were classified as polluted. The
head of China's national development agency said in 2007 that one quarter the
length of China's seven main rivers were so poisoned the water harmed the skin.
Water is typically referred to as
polluted when it is impaired by contaminants and either does not support a
human use, such as, or undergoes a marked shift in its ability to support its
constituent biotic communities, such as fish. Natural phenomena such as,,
storms, and earthquakes also cause major changes in water quality and the
ecological status of water.
Another big reason for the
environment pollution is the air pollution.
Air increased due to the immersion of industries fumes and smokes,
sound, loudspeakers, firecrackers, drum
beating, vehicles horn and Aeroplanes.

Standard and guidelines for the
commercial and residential areas. The Central Pollution Control Board
constituted a Committee on Noise Pollution Control. The Committee recommended
noise standards for ambient air and for automobiles, domestic appliances and
construction equipments, which were later notified in Environment(Protection)
Rules, 1986 as given below:-
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Area Code Category of Area Limits in dB(A),Leq Day

Noise pollution increased from Vehicles,
Industries, loudspeakers, Aeroplanes; apart from these all above the sound
polluted increased due to excess firecrackers, loudspeakers, drum beating. India is the country of faith and many
religions. There are several religions
are exists. Some social organisations
filed petition in the court to ban the use of loudspeakers in Mosques and 5
times of calling for namaz, but totally forget and overlooked the excessive
firecrackers beating drums and loud speakers when Durga, Ganpati and other
idols gets immersion in the waters.
Social organisation totally forgets and overlooked
9 day of Garba festivals. Social organizations raised their voice against noise pollution to
ban loudspeakers on the mosques. Due to their efforts loudspeakers
banned on mosques to call Muslims for prayer. However, once any rule framed by
Hon’ble High Court, it is duty of every citizen to obey the rulings. The
contention of the anti noise pollution organisations was that the peace of the
area gets disturb due to Aazaan the 5 times call for prayers to the Muslims. Aazan
period is max upto 5 or 8 minutes, but it is banned similarly every citizen
should celebrate festivals with minimum noise. In city like Mumbai,
where noise pollution already above its decibel limit, every citizen
irrespective their cast, creed and religion should be sensible towards noise.
Though the sound box played almost entire day upto 11 days, sound of
firecrackers during vitsurjens makes the environment dirty and polluted, still
it is not deliberated seriously.
It is request with all the Mandals and societies to celebrate the
festivals fervently with least volume to give least trouble to others specially
the students. These young students are the future of the county, but
the such noise may divert the path of students. No religion giving
teaching to disturbed the peace of others. Celebrate the festival with positive
will and maintained the passion and zeal alive.
