In the month of June I was on the trip to South India. I was very much shocked to see the incidents of encroachment by the saffron brigade on the land of monuments and built up Temples on the heritage monuments land. At Golkunda Fort at the top near about 1 to 2 Kms of land has been grabbed for the temple. People are doing puja and a priest is sitting in the temple. Similarly I had seen a big veranda of Charminar 600 to 700 Sq.ft. captured by the saffron alliance and a temple has been built on that veranda. How government has given permission to build up a temples over heritage monument lands.
At the door of Mecca Masjid no police personnel was present. Even though notice was pasted, no bags, cameras are allowed inside the mosque, but people carried their belongings along with camera and slipper, boot etc. inside the mosque. I had seen a bag outside the door with no claim. I raised the alarm, and then one police man came and asked me not to create panic. He checked the bag with arms detector and took the bag in his possession. After that he stopped people to carry their belongings, cameras inside the mosque. What that police man waiting for, another blast in Mecca Masjid, where he had gone.
These monuments are the treasures and precious jewelry for India, Indian Government as well as State Government earning from the tourism industry & it is the constructional duty of the government to safeguard the heritage monuments and no harm or illegal constructions should take place on the monuments. If Government fails to perform the constitutional duty that government has got no right to rule over the state.
Please look into the matter and strict action should be taken against the culprits and remove illegal temples from the monuments land.
