Kashmir a burning sensation

Indian Government wanted to annex Kashmir by force with the help of Military action as History proves several Muslim Nawab Estates annexed in India by force after Military action.  Though a treaty has been signed between Government of India and British Government that the Princely estates may accede to join either Pakistan or India or they opted to remain independent.

Kashmir conflict started during the Partition of India in 1947-48.  In 1947 several Muslim Nawab Estates forcibly annexed after Military action over them and become part of  India.  Nawab Muhammad Mahabat Khanji III who was the last ruling Nawab of Junagadh.  He was in favour to declare his Estate as the part of Pakistan and about to sign the documents of incorporation.  But Indian forces encircle the Muslim Nawab Estate from three sides; finally Nawab fled to Pakistan along with his family and took asylum there.  After one year of occupation of Indian forces and perpetual torture, cruelty killing the Muslims Indian Government held referendum; asking people of state wanted Junagar  be part of India.  There was no legal authenticity over the referendum as people may have cast vote under pressure.

Nawab of Bengal was the part of East Pakistan and on its capital Murshidabad Pak flag was hosted on every Government buildings for two days.  It becomes part of India on 17th August 1947 and all the previous flags were brought down and tricolour hosted on every Government Buildings and Nawab castle.

The Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir appealed for assistance to the Governor-General Louis Mountbatten, fight with the Kabailies and signed an agreement.  Once the papers of accession to India were signed, Indian soldiers entered Kashmir with orders to stop any further occupation, but they were not allowed to expel anyone from the state. U.N. Plebiscite Commission to organize a plebiscite to determine the will of the people.

Since then Indian forces holding Kashmir neither Kashmiri people given chance of Plebiscite nor they are given independence.  Indian forces are committing serious human rights violation on civilians.  They are destroying modesty of women in Kashmir.   Brutality, torture and regular killing of youths are the normal practice in Kashmir.

After the demise of Burhan Wani in the month of July 2016 by Indian security forces situation become worst.   This is first time since after independence Kashmir remained close for more than 5 months.  In present turmoil at least 130 innocent Kashmiri citizens lost their lives and more than 11000 injured.

Modi Administration could not handle the situation properly in Kashmir and it is the total failure of Government.

Uncountable Kashmiri citizens have lost their lives due to torture and brutality of Indian forces.  Now time has come to give a chance of Plebiscite to Kashmiri people and open a way for their independence.
